I'm back! Sorry for the delays on the blog here. Long story short, I ended up barely surviving a plane crash and got lost in the wilderness for a couple weeks. Haftrak Music will continue and I'll try to get it going on a consistent basis. I hope I can help you keep your head nodding while you're knitting or whatever. I like how more of you have been sending me music that you're in to, I'll try to post as many as I can here. Feel free to leave a link to some of your favorite tracks in the comments section. This is my favorite way to listen to and find new music.
First, because it's playing on my Ipod right now here's Gilligan Moss's "Choreograph." This is slightly twisted, trippy, chill, awesome. Enjoy.

This producer has loads of sick tracks. Worth checking out

Here's flume's "side project" called What So Not which is actually exploding right now. Hoping to see these guys when they come to Vancouver in March.

This track's loaded with base. Turn your sub up!

Musical mush transformed

Spending this rainy afternoon listening to some tunes and I feel like I'm all bogged up in musical mush. I've heard some good tracks, but mostly one's where I'm thinking 'what situation would this be good for' or 'maybe I need to crank the bass to feel this properly.' Nothing really stood out until I was about 2 minutes into a song I heard a couple weeks ago that I didn't pay much attention to at the time. This track really made my ears stand at attention today. Oh man, when that bass hits it really gets inside you. Check it out!

As for the musical mush, well it's not all bad. Here's a couple tracks worth listening to. Australia's Ta-ku (you probably heard him from the work he's done with Flume) is releasing a new EP with some delightful, emotion bending tracks. Seem's like he's on a bit of an emotional roller coaster and I laughed a little when I saw these two tracks side by side. The title of the first one was 'I hate you' on Hypem and it was right after 'I miss you'

And his biggest track to date IMO remixed by flume

And a few more bangers for your Sunday eve listening pleasure.

(These guys coming to Vancouver in april!)

Peace friends :)
